       Harbor 'lights'

the moon shines....
upon the sea...upon the shore
beyond the lighting of the lamps...
inviting harbor
serendipitous sanctuary of
small ships sleeping
the moon whispers...
lyrics from a distant shore
reminding us...
where we’d rather be....
in a ‘different’ world!

Bruce...your poem's imagery of water, moon and harbor...lovely in any time or place to me.

Imagine that different path of a world being one
where there were no planes, train, buses,
autos........carriages.....horses, etc...
and what the sky would look like every night
of the year (sans clouds, of course)...

Nice pic....

"serendipitous sanctuary of
small ships sleeping"

Wonderful alliteration here Bruce.
I could not help but here the song "Harbor Lights" as I read...
Now that song will play over and over all night.

Well done!!

Autumn, the year's last loveliest smile~

"serendipitous sanctuary"

yes...precisely!
an alliteration aside:
poetically powerful presentation!
