there at the edge of shuddering
just before the waves come
and make your hands useless
for anything
but hanging on

when your eyes are sunset amber
and your hair is unconcerned
about proper positioning
it only knows it is in the way
when you try to breathe

when something inside your soul
recognizes the addiction
and admits it has always been there
wanting more than the last time
til your heart is sore

from the anticipation
and then the fulfillment
that is better than imagination
and better than a memory
you don't want to ever forget

unless this next one is even better

oh God, this so took me to the sea...and yes, it is an addiction, a love addiciton, one cannot get enough of...the sea IS a soul filled place making one forget about all there is, only the here and now, and the peacfulness that washes over soul and mind...you've done a fabulous job describing.  So well, that I felt like I was swimming....

what I came to do in this world
I the artist will answer
I am here to live out loud

DS

I am going to the sea this week.....Wednesday, I think....I need a fix.  You remind me just how long it has been.

so now that I am smiling again
and for some reason missing that bend of the coast, the islands in the background...oh,
but the sequence of waves you gave with this write?

I've never been to the sea, and yet I can see how one could become addicted to it. I can't wait to go there.

A surfer always knows
in some swelling wave
that the next one
will always be better...

and the next,
and the next,
and the next....

just in case the previous
were only an illusion
but never a regret...

right?

Ride on...

the endless rushing,
hushing of waves...
held in the throes of earth

her breast beating
for wings and sky

Your writing forms like the lines of an outside set
that takes it's time rolling in.  Love the splash and all that~

Nice ride, DS~
