Love in a Jar

I have pleasures stocked on the shelves of my dreams,
Jars filled with passion and intimate waters,
Overflowing my present thoughts with kisses of past lovers.
Sometimes, I walk these aisles on lonely evenings,
Opening one memory after another
Inhaling the sweet scent of roses, cinnamon, and spring apples;
These moments kiss my lips and cheeks softly
Wiping away my invisible tears---
Tears that create new shelves of pearls and ice,
In anticipation of new experiences and love,
That will one day be stored in my heart.

Marcel

How lovely and tender..
may all your memories be beautiful ones.
I very much enjoyed this gem Marcel.

I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

I especially liked the feeling of the heart storing so many good memories, much like preserves from the garden.  Sweeter with time.

Better and better Keith.

May your jar continue to be filled with love!

(Please forgive me, but I once worked as an registered nurse in a family planning clinic and my first response to your title lead my mind in a totally different direction than you obviously intended! Laughing Baby)
