The Gardens Due

I wait among the gardens hew
To have a cup of dew with you
To fraternize and feast my eyes
On one that I do idolize

I offered you a world you know
A rainbow path, a castles show
A kingdom made for you a queen
To stay my heart a field of green

I fill the meadows my bequeath
With odors that the roses breathe
Forget me knots that squeeze your hand
And form a lovely wedding band

The soothing of a shawl of lace
The warming of a grace embrace
The dreaming of a final goal
The merging to a final soul

And here I wait the gardens hew
To drink this cup of dew with you

That was so good.  I'm so entirely speachless, you have no idea.  That is one of the best poems I've ever read, published or not.  Fantasic... wow.

Like a ship blown from it's mooring by a wind off the sea...

Sy, I remember a poem you wrote about a year or so ago and it left me with the exact same feel as this one...can't remember the name, and wonder if this is a rewrite of that one.  In any case, it was one of my favorites then, and now this one is taking it's place.  Lovely, lovely, lovely, lovely, lovely!   ....jo

Well, I was so intrigued with this one, like deja vu or something, that I went back and read a bunch of your poems to see if I had seen it before.  I found some similar topics, but not these same words, so now I'm thinking I must have dreamed it....lol...at any rate, I surely enjoyed the trip back into the archives and what beautiful dreams I will now have this very late night/early morn as a result of  investigating so many, many beautiful poems.      ...jo
