fitting then, that you
should have risen from the ash
of that fateful year

way cool senryu Raph.  I think this one could apply to many of us who have risen from the ash, so to speak. Very well done!

I agree that many of us can relate to this poem....Life seems to move on in such a way that we always seem to have to change to grow...Well done...A great read...**big hugs**

thanks all, this one's a little personal. 82 was a bad year for me, well it wasn't all bad. but it changed the course of my life, and i found it interesting, that the best thing in my life, happened to come out of that year as well.

OHHHH . . . I thought you were comparing THAT year to THIS year ---> rising.

Such is life, unfortunately, that it sometimes seems all you can remember is the bad and not the good.

Glad that you can.

It took me reading this a million times, and hovering in this box for hours to know what to say, and when i finally replied, before i pressed submit, our electricity turned off! you can imagine well what came out my mouth then, i was not lost for words whatsoever.

'the best thing in my life' That thing, is a very lucky thing.

Perfect, and of course i 'got it', no explanation needed.

I just enjoy watching you give yourself a little credit for a change.

I don't have to understand it to enjoy the moment with ya.
