This pain I feel,
It’s all real,
I never wanted to hurt you,
I only wanted you to see the truth.
Now I almost think,
I made the biggest mistake.
Though I thought I was helping,
All I did was worsen the situation.
A wave of doubt runs over my body,
As I regret what I can never take back.
You’ll never really know what I meant,
You’ll see only what you want.
My words came spilling out,
even though I had so many doubts.
I was wrong, even though neither of us were right.
Tears mean nothing,
As I finally begin to feel my thoughtless heart.
I feel as I haven’t felt in forever,
Now I know,
All this guilt, all this regret,
That I’ve been carrying since I can’t even remember,
Will always be with me,
And now one more thing has been added to my large collection of shame.

It seems so forlorn Sara. Excellent work.
