Listening to every heart

Counter Fit

All that was level at one time
which ran the eye of beam
and held close treasures, gathered
across a dreamscape’s seem
all that was balanced, level, and true
somehow slipped in thunderous quick
then quaked in these losses

true,

all was held in books that bleed
beyond some land of fantasies
for somewhere in the eye of seed
where sometime dwells reality
we crossed against the gist of time
stepped through a chasm mirrored
where ships sail skies
and alligators cry
where elephants forget
and rabbits wear fine hats
it is there I’ll find the man who sat

as like a dreamer [me]
strumming to some tune in mist
[the mist sees we]
like some Johnny Appleseed
oh, trust was great, for theirs was need
no counterfeit in truth
you see.

But now the counter of some fit
lay in dust come ruin,
and while the sun in southern sky
seeks it way towards noon
the ache in kind
[no one’s so blind]
still tries to find
some way to right
some way to light
that in the unbalance of this feel
some way to level
the eye of beam
to hold close treasures, gathered
across a dreamscape’s seem.

My worry for you Sunshine is that the pressure is now on you to write and to maintain everything else

Your words I always look forward to, but for me at least, take care

....across a dreamscape's seem....

Oh yes...oh so very yes. With this poem in me, I think I'm ready for the rest of the night.

some way to light
that in the unbalance of this feel

I understand this (to my surprise)and know the "missing" you feel.

Superb!  Clever word play, intricate detail and then stunning crescendo with the dramatic rhyme and image effects right up to the 2-line climax at the end, reflecting the beginning calm! Wow, wow and wowweeeee!
