I do not like society. People get my goat. Should others come, while I'm around, I'll fetch my hat and coat. I do not care for introductions; I haven't anything to say. I just want a way... IN... And I want a way... OUT... With enough to get... AWAY. There are those who strive to make their mark, Within the world of MEN. They dream of wealth and of elevating self, Above their kith and kin. Vain sensations of glorification... And a name that will out live their days. I just want a way...IN... And I want a way...OUT... With enough to get...AWAY. I do not wish to be celebrated; toasted or boasted upon. I seek no recognition... for anything I've done. Just kindly fill my pockets... and I'll be on my way. I want a way...IN... And I want a way...OUT... With enough to get...AWAY. I'll gladly be your wage slave, If you'll provide my pay; but don't expect my loyalty, for I'm not here to stay. Just give me what you feel is fair... and I'll be on my way. I want a way...IN... And I want a way...OUT... With enough to get...AWAY! I am a hermit, by nature; 'though I have children and a wife. You'd be surprised at how much stress... That puts on a hermit's life. But, I'll walk upon your sidewalks; And I'll tolerate your ways... 'Though I just want a way... IN... And I want a way... OUT... With enough to get... AWAY. |
