What's the point
oh what's the point?
Why bother having her
if you're not going to learn
how to use her?
A status symbol?
Perhaps to others
I thought you were above that.

Apparantly not.

Give her to me,
I'll take her and use her
like she needs to be used
and I'll care for her
give her what she needs
instead of what you
(wrongly)
think she needs.

And while you're at it
put stuff back when you're done.

*** This is NOT a woman who's being "used", it's my niece's 2nd level dressage horse who isn't being used to her abilities.

I had a feeling this was about a horse.
They do need so much proper care and love.
Good write.

Skyfire, I knew this was about a horse.  I hope you get the chance to school her and bring out the best in her.  It must be very frustrating for you.

FNG, it is lots of work, dedication and loads and loads of love, but it is a wonderful, wonderful privilege and the most wonderful bonding experience you can imagine.

Although SHE isn't a woman, SHE could easily be a woman.  Either way it's a wonderful piece of work.

Certainly shows how exasperated you are. Well done Rhonda.

chuckling here at the ending
but if indeed she is into "equis" merely as a status symbol?
*SIGH* I think you already know how I feel about this. Meanwhile, a new Lipizzan filly at the barn yesterday...and I haven't had a chance to visit her yet and another on the way. Guess what I'll do on my day off tomorrow?
yep, help muck a stall
and put things away

tracie- thanks for reading

FNG - yes, they're definitely a lot of work, but they're so worth all the sweat

Owl - She'll be living at our place for a month or so while her new home is fenced, so I'll be able to do a little bit with her; not that it'll make much difference though, as my niece is putting all her talent to waste (ie she'd rather use voice commands than learn how to ride properly *rolls eyes*)

desert-spike - indeed she could be a woman, part of the reason I put the disclaimer, I didn't want anyone flaming me for promoting woman abuse

Lady - Thank you I am indeed very exasperated, I didn't realise that it was possible to be as frustrated with someone as I am with my niece. I love her of course, but she frustrates me

Midnitesun - oooh a Lipizzan filly! *squeals* baby!! (lol doesn't take much to get me going eh?) Mucking a stall rocks... especially when it belongs to a baby

and then He created the horse...

Me too, MidniteSun - with the squeals about a Lippizaner filly!  And mucking out a stable.

Silly, we knew it was about a horse! And I'm with you. Can I ride too?

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

LOL, so I went to the barn to 'assist'...problem was, this mare is a meanie when it comes to letting anyone near her new foal. You'd think after me being around the barn for two years now that she'd be OK? but no, it's just like with the little one born last spring...mare Bekka pins her ears back and goes straight for the face-bite, so I chose to stay outta the stall and let her bite the stall door windows for another day or so. LOL. She lets my daughter go in, but Sara works with this mare every day, while I'm only there once or twice a month now.
She really is a great mare, just a wee bit protective. Hehe, I didn't mind, as my back already hurts just getting out of bed each day.
Apparently this little filly is already independent, an experienced Houdini, as on her second day on terra firma, she rolled out from underneath the fencing and ran off into the neighbors fields...paying no attention to momma's pleas, so Sara had to release the mare to get the filly to come back. LOL.  Aren't they wonderful creatures?
