Tonight you wrote,
"longing for you."

such words
can melt the coldest heart,
how much more
can they do to a heart
as open as mine?

all your words
are an unexpected gift,
suddenly filling spaces
I thought to keep empty.

your poetry
has always touched my heart,
how much more now,
when I know
some of the words
are for me?

your presence
in my life tonight
is a mystery,
how did we come
to this moment,
this place where
words tumble and fall
from wounded lips
like prayers on the wind?

your tenderness
both frightens
and delights me,
for being tenderhearted
I long to know
that softness in you,
but fear your fantasy of me
will be no match
for reality.

still,
for this moment
tonight,
know that I too am
longing for you.

This is simply lovely~

You should write a Deputy Moderator for Open Forum or an Administrator and ask that it be moved to the new Open Forum #36, so that it can be read by many~
