I see the rays
of the new spring sun
dancing against my window pane

As I,
again stuck behind the screen
dream of soft lilies
warm nights
birds churping from their perch

I know by the sun
and that distinctive smell of the earth thawing
that it won't be long now
we will soon see the buds of new plants
the signs of life, of growth
of spring.

Yup, I'm waiting too.
No signs yet, except the brighter sun.

Well now, down here in the Houston, Texas area...I'm not so sure the spring every left...keep smiling and watching my friend....I'll package it up and ship it out on the next north-bound breeze, along with all the yellow-green Pine pollen hiding my car, the drive way, the house...my gosh, it's all over everything!

Enjoyed your write...

Up here in Toronto we finally hit plus 0 temperatures (celcius of course), we're all celebrating..... I heard a little rumour that spring has finally sprung!!!

Thank you both
