WILD CRAVINGS
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

I get wild cravings,
For the strangest sort of food.
~ Like eggplant and tofu,
To elevate my mood.

I like thick, sour buttermilk,
Or a creamy soy shake.
And a plate of Kosher pickles,
Can beat a piece of cake!

I love sandwiches of sauerkraut,
And I suck on sour lemons.
I even like the texture of,
Pucker-up persimmons.

I dip mini breadsticks,
Into bowls of yogurt plain.
And indulge in fresh cranberries,
~ I'm considered quite insane!

I knock back cider vinegar,
As a pick-me-up tonic.
And prefer a tossed green salad,
Without dressing on it.

I'm not a fan of tater chips,
But I do enjoy my fries.
~ And those made from tofu,
Are simply paradise!

Fiddleheads are scrumptious,
They are my special treats.
I eat them by the bowlful,
Along with pickled beets.

Brussel sprouts are truly,
A food beyond compare.
I’ll boil up a mess of them,
~ They're great snacking fare!

I get wild cravings,
For the strangest sort of food.
~ Like eggplant and tofu,
To elevate my mood.

Dear Rose of Gold ~

Ah, yes! I knew you were a kindred spirit!

Sending you a bowlful of brussel sprouts topped with fresh-squeezed lemons and a big Polski Ogorki on the side. And howsabout some raw cranberries smothered in buttermilk for dessert!

Eat healthy ~ live long!

Lovely Lee ~

Good morning! Just the thought of a Dairy Queen Blizzard on this freezing cold day in Ontario, makes my teeth chatter. Mind you, in the heat of the summer sun, I would definitely be tempted!

As for the liver, I think I'll pass! lol

Have a great day!

Brussell sprouts, pickles and breadsticks...yum.

I love them and definitely can NOT forget about french fries...but I like mine from good "Old" McDonald's!

This poem made me smile, I needed that. Thank you. It was amusing.

Sadie ~

Ooops! I almost missed you! Let me see, oh yes, I've got it! Artichokes mashed into cottage cheese! That should do the trick and put the pizzazz back into you after a long hard day at work!

Thank you for the fun and thoughtful reply!

I enjoy your spirited writes as well!
