There needs be no light
To navigate in dark of night
All is where placed before
As I pace again the floor
Water seeps to become tea
Thoughts in pace now flee
I search the dark drawer
For socks against the cold floor
Seeping from the winter
That found a place to enter
Cracks under my sealed door;
So I sit and sip herbal tea
In the dark, the cat and me.

I like tea, with sugar and lemon, thank you please...

Thank you, a Romantic heart,
Chamomile tea these days,
Read a recent study that it can actually change
The chemistry of the lower digestive track
And sooth the stomach lining chemistry also
I tend to leave out the lemon
No need for extra acid in my system
But there is always a lemon about my kitchen.

well, as long as the cat is there, you're not alone in the dark

but I know what it's like to wake too early, or go to bed too late

either way, alone time in the dark is not very fun

Professor
Get some flint and make a spark
And that will light the lonely dark.
