Yesterday Missing

I missed the voice of everyday
Pretending the "charming" of use to be
Will differ tomorrow and light its way
A gift of smile for one to see.

I missed the feeling of arms that hold
A kiss goodnight on lips or cheek
The tongue-tied-thoughts to hear unfold
Contentment's need, of soft technique.

I missed the deepness that sharing brings
The racing heart, desires storm
Whispered moments of happenings
That edge to gather and fill the warm.

The other side of me still waits
In sunlight breaking through the mist
Though only as the mind creates
Recalling you, and days when kissed.

A shade of midnight poses thought
When yesterday missing, reversed the "naught".

M

Very nice, my friend...even uplifting (from the viewpoint of being buried in pain) - very much a poem of healing. And written so well...

Very much enjoyed reading this...

nakdthoughts,
Love this from title on!  I guess it has me wondering how we live a today if yesterday is totally lost. Yet, one can't deny the inexhaustible empty feeling that is there. I suppose it is like energy, never truly lost. Sometimes it sure would be nice to know where all the energy goes, though!
I enjoy your well expressed poetry.

You are very welcome Bernie~~ thanks for the time sharing.

Jimmy, thought I would write in rhyme and post so some can see I am still alive and well...moving forward slowly but making great strides.

miscellanea, I appreciate the time you take to let me know if my words touched you. I am trying to write on a positive note...or at least one of contentment.
Thank you,
M

I think sometimes it's good for yesterday to be missing. I wish I could lose mine and never find it again.
