 Sunny-Side Upstaging (Part of "Emmanuel Endorphin's Serotonin Sundae") By: Noah Eaton 4/17/05 (Looks like we’re about ready, to take this show on the road, that the great duties of life are written with a sunbeam, and flowers and honey are what they bode, Gabriel, you take the north, Uriel, you have south, Raphael, I’ve assigned you to the east, And Michael, that leaves you with the west, now you’re on the trolley, here we go, 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, ooohhhhh...) . . . . . Hey, you kids, we’ve got Castle Builder’s syndrome, let’s go out there and show them how it is done, from one contagious smile the whole world will fall victim... Shaft of light kisses your face, you skip with juvenescence, amnesic of worry, all your troubles dissolve in evanescence, isn’t it sexy to declare transcendence? . . . Have you ever tried laughing until you cry? Have you ever tried smiling even when your lips are chapped? Have you ever dreamed you were staring into the sun, for hours at a time? All aboard for the sunny side of life… Hold that smile, this is a dolly shot, look up while you’re walking, the sun is your backdrop, echo that libretto so Araboth can receive, that’s the spirit, let’s get one more for covering...  . . . Let’s have a lil’ lunch break, I’ve brought plenty of manna, and for the kids, we can paint their precious faces with henna, we’ll have a picnic in the meadows of coriander and acacia... Neighborhood to neighborhood, the stage is set for all you lovers, dancing our own dances on parade like Savion Glover, let’s go wash the windshields in everyone’s eyes and embrace one another... . . Le le la la... . . Doesn’t too much of a good thing taste even better? Doesn’t good enough fail to make justice for how great it is? Isn’t staring at the sun just one way of appreciating it, for hours at a time? All aboard for the sunny side of life... Hold that smile, this is a dolly shot, look up while you’re walking, the sun is your backdrop, echo that libretto so Araboth can receive, that’s the spirit, let’s get one more for covering...  . . . "Happiness is a butterfly, Which is always beyond our grasp when pursued." but when you sit down quietly, what a pleasant surprise, you’ll find it will flitter gently upon youuuuuu... . . . All aboard for the sunny side of life... (I’d like to give some special shout-outs, via Dharma Rainbow express, let’s extend the May pole 401 across the world, across the seven heavens...) . . Here’s to Shamayim which watches over our stars, here’s to Raquia which cultivates poets and bards, here’s to Sagun and the river of milk and honey, here’s to Machanon and its twelve golden gates of beauty, here’s to Mathey and its majestic waterfalls, here’s to Zebul and their cherubs’ peaceful calls, here’s to Araboth where you can get a glimpse of God, and everything in-between that sweetens the pot! . . . All aboard for the sunny side of life... . . . ...your serotonin salary will be all you give... . . . ...bloom before the world, ember rose... . . . ...chookas, chookas, chookas, happy lark... It is always a pleaure to read your words (especially after being reemed out by your constituents b/c you can never do anything right in their eyes).
