Oh, Dragon, in your comfy chair,
please leave for moment your fine lair;
ban the quotes from books of yore;
cease the legends of your chore;
leave the comfort of your cave
let me find you better grave —

The legends of the yore are fine —
but now your dragon soul is mine
-assuming dragons have a such-
I will allow just as much
then I shall grant you equal doubt
and give you fair and gilded bout...

But be forewarned, dear dragon sir
— unless you wish to stray and err —
for this Knight is not slow nor dim
he appears then fades upon a whim
the armour that my body guarded
now long has been but discarded

For I have shed the useless weight
and wear now naught but cotton slate
I thrust and parry with a quill
guided by the force of will —

Oh, I see you play with fire
appears my spot is getting dire -
Dip.     .       .                                                                                            to side
                          back
and
s              l                i                d              e
dniheb

Did you miss me?
I believe you have.....
thrust!
cut!
slash!
(last of your kind you will be...)
riposte to get a-head

...and dragon’s ink now has been bled...

Oh, though spilling ink is so much fun
at end of day when all is done —
When battle cries fade into night;
when foes vanish from the sight -
The measure of the knightly worth
only one way found on Earth —

For to know if a Knight has lost or won
is written in the rays of Sun
glowing in his Lady’s eyes
— for only there his true demise.

And from the answer of my Sun
— Long ago I knew I’d won —

Oh Sir Knight how times have changed
The heat of battle once again???
It's really good to see you here
I thought all Knights had disappeared
So once again the battle cry
will echo through the evening sky
Sultry maidens all round
seated safely on the ground
Can sit and cheer for who they will
While we show out fighting skill
Be sure your writing arm is fit
this Dragon has tremendous wit
So we can play just like before
We'll let the maidens keep the score

hmm.
even though i no longer believe there are such things as knights... i do enjoy a tale now and then.

"i close my eyes and gather up the puddle of this life, one teaspoon at a time, into a bucket with holes" ~me an excerpt from "she still sees ugly"

Well the Dragon's here [they always are]
But the Knight is strangely gone
Not remembered for his Valour
just remembered for his song

For he could sing to Maidens with a voice so chrystal clear
But the voice was often absent when Dragons hovered near
So look up to the north when the Borealis comes
It's just this Dragon playing, having lots of FUN
