Beneath the pale moonlight tonight
I whispered your name,
knowing it was in vain,
yet all the same
it came from these cold lips
that still seek the feel of you.

Once we walked hand in hand
upon shores of gold in another land
as the silvery seas parted for us
while we embraced our last goodbye.

Why, oh God?
Why did it end just when
the moon was still so high
and these lips were still hot
from passions’ sweet sigh

and all that was love had to die,
just as two hearts became one?

Oh God, please,
don’t answer that,
for I am still not ready
to accept your why.

I always imagine you in scenic settings and know that being close to nature is being in touch with one's soul (for lack of a better word) This forlorn call toward the moon passes for religion, may the fresh air that replaced it fill the void and the next moon find you further from the answer you don't want. Poignant.

I talked to God
I knew he's understand
He said stick by me
I'll be your guiding hand,
but don't ever ask me
what I think of you
I might not give the answer
that you want me to.

wish I'd wrote that but the credits Peter Green's.(really early Fleetwood Mac)
Seemed to fit anyway...enjoyed as always.

Live like it's your last day...
Dance like nobody's watching...
Love like you've never been hurt...

I remember that one. Thanks, Ray.
Most of the time I don't even bother asking anyway.

well done ma'am... well done indeed...

some answers we don't really want..we want the ache the answers left filled.. the empty inside from loss  to be denied..
sometimes.. the wind simply blows though the holes in us... other times... we wrap around us the treadbare remnants of teh feelings, and at least keep ourselves from freezing..

Some answers don't take away the longing or fill the void. you did well with this.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

the answers will come, and walk hand in hand with you into the future...to love nature as you do, will also swarm you with warmth and intellect...I'm wishing you great buckets of warmth to fill you up and please you....love and hugs

Excellent write Kacy...
I only wish I couldn't identify with it.
Heart hugs~

Now while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again..and again.

Well now Kacy I have an answer. But the truth is it doesn't cure the broken heart or ease the troubled soul. On the other hand you are indeed touching people with your recall, including me. We all long for a better day. But some of us get to write of it. Peace...

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
