The fabric of my favorite shoes?
oh no, it would be the material used
like my favorite school bag
made of genuine leather it was
but today it could be made of...
something synthetic
yes, something mad-made
did I say mad?
I meant man-made...

I won't have my shoes man-made
something synthetic for my feet?!
Seen a few hobos with plastic bags on
no that doesn't do the trick for me
the corporate look must be maintained
from the bottom up...
up to where other materials are used
dress material now has these new fibers!
That acrylic lasts just as long as wool
did you know that, did you know that
might of started from the feet up
or was from someones head down
the idea for a new dress look
wrinkle free..
all those years sacrificed
for natural fibers, furs and frills
all those years in the sweat shop
just so some other generation
gets the stuff you wash and wear
to get a wrinkle free garment
something you wouldn't iron out,
ready to go on the street
now there's all kinds of fibers
and the synthetics are cut and matched
in odd arrays, that's it no more the...
the monotone cotton shirts..
the flannel pants...ha!
and the ladies with the see through stockings
wear a week and throw away
not in my day, they were all opaque
but that's when Dupont just started.
Today I can use that flimsey stuff
I mean material, to call the darn thing
nylon, the stuff the stretches
and shimmers in the light.

Amazing what shoes would do for the person
think of what he could do for the nation
cause it all started from the feet
and worked its way up it did!
For the men and the ladies
next thing the kids got into it...
they put on what was churned out quick
synthetic, takes the place of the natural
that's why I say it's mad-made
I mean man-made.

yep
mad-made
but I often have a different reason for preferring such, as a vegetarian
