Recipient

Over sky readings
Peeling away Aetna Cards
Down to the bone
Famine chains dogs
To the shoes of false profits
Competing for lead, mostly
Scraping for something to believe in

Except the find of new money
Small happy images
Organized religion….baby shakes
Browsing confessionals
When barb wire shakes the hand
In a convoy of threes

Exploration is like a vulnerable camera
Taking pictures of dreams
Way out there somewhere
And here, if one so wishes it
A cannibal course of living desire
Swatches of issues which collect
Something to sing about

Spread eagle fatigues
Giving millions of pictures
Jersey barrier of white metal
Where consciousness looks at itself
Its only you, with satellite view
Who meets the shells of mortar...s

When sandman leaves our awakening minds
Knowing the alphabet backwards
Orchestrating body in motion
Walking brutality will drink no more rhythm
Light stuttering spoken from memory
Furrows fear like a taxi on Saturday nights

Great myths gush, cloned swallowers of fire
Personal failure, gifts power of cause
Purely its own reward
What society belittles
Might be a cunning player
If one chooses not to follow~
Be that doe-eyed child
Take the heart of innocence
Where flute daydreams
In your Rooms
Light stays focused

God Bless YOU and Yours

Happy Christmas

I will come back and read this again, in a few days when my mind clears from everyday mud....This type of work is like a hologram, your eyes must focus on the stanzas and cross a little to make their message clear...Like one must do if they read Bob Dylan's Tarantula, or like is instructed by Don Juan in the Carlos Castaneda books.
