The Hour

The hour strikes to past and dead
Where once we were so warmly wed
It’s lost within the source of time
To clay another force of prime

New fodder of a mill of strange
To dodder to a finer change
To dance within an echoes call
The nuance of the cauldrons all

And though I try to see what be
The process passes dead to me
It traces like a silver moon
Playing shadows like a tune

I hear the drums and play of fife
And dance my feet this stay of life
I sway within the present core
That seems to float on evermore

And though I’ll slip around the bend
I leave you all my thoughts of end.

Such an early hour for such ponderous matters...

Sway away, Sy...on you, it looks good!

couplets like those are the reason you wear the crown of waaaay cool me King of clever cadence and rhyme.

I do so love the fodder and dodder of your verse.
