many the eyes that cry for you
more the lips that sigh for you
many the hearts that'd die for you
and more to come who'll try for you

but none will care as much as I
none who'll understand reasons why
none to know in any case
from wence you came to thrive this
place

none who'll promise now always
none who'll look beyond the daze
who'll wait for more than just your praise
or quickened heart or fever raised

none to love you as I do
beyond the rosy colored hue
beneath the scars of black and blue
and to the depths of soul of you

these are the things that I believe
that somewhere in your heart you grieve
that I was more than whispered kiss
and so much more than words like this

I've stood in line and waited there
ached at what I felt unfair
but not one moment did love fail
to warm me in this lonely hell

yes, many the eyes that search for you
many who'll promise their whole life through
but remember as you pass me by
the love within these deep brown eyes...

Yanno Tier? It always amazes me how someone can write this well without being handcuffed by the rhyming.

I guess I need a better vocabulary.

(Or learn to use the one I own)

Very nice!

a prayer, a vow, a lament

and how fervantly written and beautiful to read aloud.

These blue pages are donning graces today...

I feast.

I haven't adequate words to tell how this affected me.  May I echo Serenity?  Exquisite writing!

Whoops.  I meant to add this to my library.  Try, try again!

It's now tucked away on a shelf.  Thanks.

agreeing with Ed here, your rhyme is like a song, and just beautiful . . .

All the familiar names are popping up.  Glad to see yours is one of them.

I very much enjoyed this.  The flow was excellent from beginning to end and it even rhymed.  A treat indeed.  Great read.
