Time Released

I have stretched the moments,
widening the imagination to
include the bareable thoughts
that always lead me to extend
my shadow to include you.

Mute by choice, these lips
would prefer to touch their speak
and remain stranded in meet,
fulfilling the embrace that walks
the in-between of what you see.

I was unknown before you,
anonymous to time, whose intervals
crossed my path and drew me
counterclockwise into your warp.

An unusual beat, I would describe you,
whose tempo (sometimes harsh)
seems to breach my experiences
(long overdue) with limitless desires.

And on occasion, forces these digits
to press and express how the demon in you
reaches deep inside, drawing a tide from me
that will fluctuate, waiting to be carried along
in the attraction of you.

M
