I heard the storm was passing Rolling waves upon the shore, The rain would not be lasting The sun would shine once more, It broke through the next morning Gone all the weather warnings I was driving to the beach Sunlight trying to reach She was strutting on the sand Music came from her hand Playing a sad country song So thin her skin bronze tan Walking between water and land Killing me softly with her thong Killing me softly With her thong. A wave came crashing on me Knocking me off my feet When rising I didn’t see She was moving quite fleet I saw her far down the beach And I knew I’d never reach Her memory was Killing me softly with her thong Killing me softly With her thong. Gloom Ok, so it’s a bit silly and not very good, but it’s a song mutilated. Forgive me Roberta |
