Yesterday comes
     nipping at our heels
attached by strands of memories,
good and bad.
A mixed bag of emotions:
filled with thoughts
     of pure commotion
void of tomorrow
if lingering in the past.

We now stand as one,
hand in hand

together,
let us cut the strings of yesterday
loose.

It's better than I could have planned..
it's made me who I am...
{Trace Adkins}

Very nice poem
Wish my yesterdays didn’t bleed over into the today
Or perhaps it might be good if parts of farthest of them did

I do believe I enjoy your smiling poems
the best...

although you do have a way of hitting below
the belt and leaving a mark...

so it's ALL good!

I really can't wait to get this computer back to top notch condition, but until then I can only pop in from time to time and say thank you to all who are reading.
You are all so appreciated, thank you
and peace.

Wise words, let's cut yesterday loose.  Today, this moment and each to come, they are filled with immeasurable potential for great joy and adventure if only you step out of the fetters of yesterday --
