So, I left you, said good-bye.
You took your ring, broke my heart
And left me here alone to think of

It's just so hard to recover
When I still smell your hair,
Taste your lips, and remember
Every moment I spent with you.

I'll give myself time
I'll try to have fun
I'll even try to convince myself
I never spent a moment with you.

So good bye my love
Someday you'll see
That we could have been perfect
If you didn't cheat on me.

Garrett......this is the best and most emotional poem I have read. I know the pain you speak of and the memories that walk in your head.

My wish for you is that your heart will mend soon and your bitterness will subside for the one who did you WRONG.

Thank you for your replies! This was so hard to write. The tears swelled up as I typed my heart to sedation. The good words you said make me want to keep trying to write. Thanks again!
