The subtle innocence of a simple smile
The look in your unknowing eyes.
How I wish I could stand in your place,
Give you everything I’ve already had.
The love of a woman,
The care of a child.
The feelings that life has no ending.
For with each day that passes
I will think of you and everything you have given me.
I have more than love for you
You are my being.
You are the light that has kept my direction.
And in me you shall live forever
For there is no love stronger than ours.
Go forth into the arms of god
For his care is the only other I can trust
Live on in the eternal light
And burn so in my heart forever
No fever so high
No chill so cold
could ever replace the hurt I feel for you
You are the beat in my heart and the blood in my veins
And I will long for you always
Go without pain but with the knowing that I Love You.
You will always be the part that I once had but am missing
I will feel your breath at night and hear your voice whisper to me
that you are there at my side protecting me from the fear of being without you.
There is no just end to my words
For this is an eternal vow
You will live forever.

Thank you Janet
Seems to have caught the way I felt when I wrote it.
