I have decided
to let you slip away
now.

It's hard for me to do,
so please appreciate the effort
and the tears.

I felt you wiggling
a few times before
and chose to ignore.

Wanting you to be there
when I ached.
Selfishly turning a blind eye

to what you needed.

Say goodbye.
I love you my friend.

"cast me gently into the morning, for the night has been unkind"

Susan, this really touched my heart.
What is done here is very unselfish.

Wow... I hope this has nothing to do with your special person. I could feel the pain in your words and the analogy of "wiggling" brought to my mind a fish in the water, on a pole, but ignored by the fisherman.

Enjoyed!

Letting go is the hardest thing to do.  But neither Life, nor Love, ends with Death.

Facing death and saying good bye are probably both some of the hardest experiences anyone ever has in their life. Also some of the most changing experiences... the ones where you learn the most.
This is very selfless, and very beautiful.
