~*~
Sweet release comes, when gently the tears flow
Bringing with them a purging of the soul
From cleansing waters, spirit made aglow
Sweet release comes, when gently the tears flow
Each tear helps to make strength and courage grow
Gently guiding me forward to meet goals
Sweet release comes, when gently the tears flow
Bringing with them a purging of the soul

yes, the tears need their freedom too...but i can cry through years my dear...years.
when is it ok to lock them up again?

you write beautifully, your heart sets a stunning example...always always a pleasure to "feel" your words.

I think you've captured this perfectly Ethel.  I had a situation recently where I needed a good cry, but had no time privately to let them come until much later. The release when the tears flowed behind closed doors was just as you've described. Well done.

Best wishes and hugs,
/Kit

I could relate to this and the picture made me think that the lady was crying the lake full. Enjoyed.

A simple tear drop is a thing of such beauty, holding within it the very essence of our heart.  Truly enjoyed this lovely write.

Ethel, God collects every one of our tear drops in His hands and holds them close to our heart.

Made me think of how wonderful we were built with a mechanism to release, and one to fill up and one to defend and one to protect...
Well done kiddo.

A continual rhyme scheme...well done, Ethel.  A sweet poem, as well; melancholy, but sweet.

Beautiful picture matching so well your wise and touching words.
Tears are a blessing actually. Releasing tension, they bring peace.
Love and light. Margherita
