I had a dream;

that i came to you
in the thick of night,
when all
but a semblance
of the weight you wear,
was effaced
by the tranquility
of the world noctural,

i dreamt
i took your hand
and you rose;

alongside my own
blessed wings,
that seem to grow
unexpectedly
at those times
when most needed,

and then,

upon the tap of the wand,

poof!!!

our seams were
spun together;

one wing

one flight

one onxy sky
to drift thru
these magic hours,

i touched your face
and your eyes lit,
bright as fireflies;

you smiled and
took on the life
of the child again,
the one you shield,
and keep mostly silent
within your own self;

and we ascended
the trail of the
stars that gathered,

taking the moment
for what is was,

until i unraveled
from the makeshift
wings i'd sew upon
a child's imagination,

as i woke to
our calls of commitment,

as we spiraled back
to the dwelling
of the makebelive world
that still holds us,

and i wondered;

as i kissed your
smiling sleeping face,

if you even knew at all
that you had just been
touched by love.
