Uncertainty escorts me from sleep
Walking comas seem contagious these days
Safety requirements spill in the seas
Reason fails to reach private worries
Wearing a helmet in traffic composes noise like a ballet
Running after tomorrows begging for just 1 more light of day
I should be pleased I suffered only lose of hearing
While time upholstered promises made by mankind
Despite proposed defeated elections
There are effects laying all over their rhymes
Dirty laundry echoes, “It’s had a good day”!
Wondering what it will grow now?
Applications hungry for anyone under the age of Eighteen
People packed in make shift boats like sardines
Someone empties the bedpan
From Sion’s holy stream
While world leader’s change their slogans with each new dream
Enriching potentials are users of reactors
Looking for history in a business directory

Space laid aside for vulgar anchors
While middle aged singles are still looking for love?
Well, at least pregnant women can now use handicapped spots
Me I’m refinancing and following directions to the sunny spots
After hearing something about Ash Wednesday
Severing myself from this trailer of film
Feeling very confident with my seclusion by my lagoon
While reading an awfully good novel
Bout a man who keeps looking for jewels

All this before with that first cup of coffee
My eyes grow courage and widen with each sip
Crawling out onto the beach of today
Flickering heroes giggle in some dark room
While the old man looks on like a loving father
Some great wheel turns another event into conviction
I’m transported back into the middle ages, thinking…
Now! Who’s going to drive me to work, Huh?
I’m drowning in this suit of armor
World some buddy please call 911?
Or at best, won’t you lease me a trail blazer
One that’s been previously owned
Gwad…
If only Bugsy could see Las Vegas Now!

LeeJ
These lines alone could stand as poem...

"While world leader’s change their slogans with each new dream
Enriching potentials are users of reactors
Looking for history in a business directory"

I watch the tabloid news sometimes myself
If it were not for them thinking they are serious journalists, the show would be funny.
"fair and balanced, indeed...
The entire poem rocks...great job...

ummm, who is "bugsy" in the last line?
The old gangster? Thats what fits in my mind anyway...

enjoyed
