When the world is cold and hard to stand,
When you need that caring friend,

And shelter and defend.

Run to me if you want someone
Who’ll never let you go.

When darkness comes I’ll be your fire,
And keep you safe from wrong.
My love is always waiting here;
For you I will be strong.

Don’t try denying if you need help,
No one should be on their own.
As long as I’m alive and breathing,
You don’t have to be alone.
Tell me all your fears and worries;
Lean on me when hard times come.
Trust that I have strength to spare you;
If you need I’ll lend you some.

Run to me if you need someone
Who’ll shield you from all harm.
I’ll keep you close beside me
As I guard you with my arm.
I’ll blaze a trail through all the pain
