Look in the mirror,
What do you see?
Do you see someone looking back?
Or do you see nothing as you turn back?
I wish you could see what I see when I look at you.
But we all know that what others see is different from what you see.
And I know if you saw what I do, you’d fall in love with you too…
Once you see the person you can be, please don’t be afraid of you
I know it may be scary, but that’s a risk we all have to take…so please just let go,
And be who you were made to be.

I had to read this a couple times to get through my head the message you were trying to say. But once I did I relized that I feel the same way.

you have no idea how much this poem has affected my life...or what i think now... You see i started gaining weight and until i read this poem tonight all i thought of myself was useless and fat...you've allowed me to look at myself as person not an object thank you

I wrote this poem in ten mins. I was just sitting at my computer thinking about this friend I know who has a problem with his outward apearance...and I just wanted to let him know how much I care about him!
Im glad it had some what of a impact on you,
I just started with my writing and you have really made this easy to express it. Thanks!
