Hope in the darkness Can be anything A smile from a stranger A giggle from a child A kiss from your lover Or a hug from a friend A restrainer can be anything A frown from a stranger A moan from a child An ignore from your lover Or disloyalty from a friend As easy as that Your life changes Your day turns around And all hope is faded Depression is as hard to tame As a blood hungry lion Or a wild raven One day your up The next your down Hope is a dove Despair a cat In any case The cat will win |
