The once happy times have vanished
Now only depression remains in it’s stead.
The smiles have faded
Now only anger flares, the color red.
The hugs are no longer there to comfort
Now only cold shoulders remain
The kind words are now absent
  Now all that remains is pain.

I like it as it is, and it would be nice if you could further the thought on extra stanzas, perhaps say more on the same subject.
