across the longing bridge
lie no palatial grounds
only graveyards
and the inane silence
of white crossed hope

I stop halfway
to look at the water
a black mirror window
reflecting the human stain
of evil brewed strong

if I jumped
I'm sorry

If I didn't

then I regret
not leaping

for sorely
the power is great
and the moment is always
upon me

Don't see much from you here, but it seems this truly does belong in the dark section.  But depression can't be in total control all the time.  I mean even in the midst of it a response like perhaps your readers would miss you and Jesus loves you should at least make you smile.  Love.

Wow... this was amazing in every detail.
And I truly felt it. The wording of the first two stanzas were outstanding and poetic beauty.
Thank you for sharing your gift, and I agree with GIS - this is dark with imagery, but so very well done.

Oh, this was so cool. Ah, that's all for a good reply and that, but it was truly.

Magnifique!
You pondered and chose your words well!
Palatial...YES!
Sorely.....YES!!!

Sometimes hand-in-hand is a better gesture
than the strange human art of clapping
them together as a sign of acceptance.

I love this, coyote!
