Summer of Sam
Winter of mine
Brow like a god
A hand full of time
Shall we be?
Forever me
Inside a seed
That bleeds
And bleeds
My shelter a shoulder
My eye a beholder
Of pain and agony
Of sighing misery
A greater evil
A greater good
A vote
A voice
No chance no choice
My vision my clarity
Ripped, torn from me
Useless ammunition
For a greater fiend
That chooses, that rends
My ties
My friends
I hate
I bleed
But still
That seed
That traps
That conceals
I beg, I appeal
For release
For freedom.

Neither night nor day can give me purchase only purged dust on earth can avenge the worthless.

I thought this lost something half-way through, but is still a terrific poem. Something changed midway, though. Still very library worthy. Thanks for sharing.

Freedom isnt something we have  its something we are given, everybody has to fight for theirs.

Interesting..

And I agree, freedom does have a cost..but it's generally worth fighting for.

Nothing ain't worth nothing, but it's free--and to be free is a fallacy unless of course it's within our minds, and that can never be taken from us, regardless.

thought provoking your words, enjoyed!
