Today things are a little different
I see people, demons, angels, and hear the voices
I love the people and the things I've never met
Death doesn't own what doesn't die
This path is a narrow lane
Relax take the free ride
Its a little work, a little play
Fallen on my face always in a new way
Bleeding for you
Dead to you
Caring for you
Even though I didn't know you
A fake sense of comfort
Resides in your estate
Mockery witches
Confusion
When the dead walk
Its a little late

Let this ship navigate with
A crew of fishers of men and heavenly hosts
Save the lost and don't let them roast

He has made everything beautiful in its own time.  -Ecclesiastes 3:11

Oh, so many perfect lines in this one, Craig!

"Today things are a little different"
"I love the people and the things I've never met"
"Death doesn't own what doesn't die"
"Fallen on my face always in a new way"
"Bleeding for you"
"Caring for you"
"Even though I didn't know you"

Just decided to quote my faves!! lol. The other thing I like, since someone else gave this thought in reference to one of my poems, is the fact that there are many poems within this poem that would stand out by themselves equally as grand, like the last three lines apart from the rest... and yet, the totality makes it a true gem of a write. Thanks, "as always" (wink)!

Wings bruised from turning away in such confined space...Not broken...still healable...still feathered with life, somewhere

I was kind of nervous about posting this one because of who I used to be I guess, but the way you responded reminds me of why I love you and why I did post it.  Thanks for not cutting my throat and sending sharp criticism.  I'm not ashamed of it, just memories of what I was do haunt me somewhat from time to time.

sounds like a refrain to me, Craig

This path is a narrow lane
Relax take the free ride
Its a little work, a little play
Fallen on my face always in a new way

lyrics . . .

hey can I use that as my life motto? "Save the lost and don't let them roast" that's great! ha ha...you need to listen to the Newsboys...they wrote a song called Breakfast, it goes "when the toast is burnin and the milk is churnin and captain crunch is wavin farewell, when the big one finds you let this song remind you that they don't serve breakfast in hell!"   at least i think that's how it goes...anyways, groovy stuff here! lata bro!

Wow I was expecting alot of insults for saying this sort of thing in somewhat of a bold and to the point way.  I'm not ashamed of it though.  I guess this is actually one of the subjects that are still a little hard to write about and get to the point, instead of describing around it.  Thanks and love to you all.
