Everything is spinning, and I can’t jump off Has anyone realized the sun never dawned today, Not on my horizon, Shy away from your eyes, As you tug on my sleeve, Leading me away, from my daytime job, Even though you haven’t looked at me once today I feel eyes on me Spoken bacteria, wash it clean, wash it clean Scrub away the skin Look up; raise your puppet string arms And we’ll dance as though there is no one there Dance as though no one is holding those strings Dance as though no one is controlling us Pretend we are doing it by ourselves, Wake up from the carefully tucked in sleep Find us in the same spot as yesterday, We haven’t moved, Did the wind change, when we were pulling faces? Is that why today is the first day you laughed with me? Instead of at me, Is that why today will be a repeat of yesterday?
