All is Changed You have changed the way my eyes have viewed the earth You have given thoughts new meaning, depth and worth All is different, every word has been immersed In you, before it spilled into this humble verse Every dream and venture that was long pursued Shines in rolling waters beauteously imbued Emerald, sapphire, azure, teal and cerulean By you, whose eyes have taught my eyes new ways to dream Every soul has been transformed into a child Every heart is viewed as tender, meek and mild Everyone is now endowed a second birth By you, whose gentle ways have changed perception’s worth Love has altered everything I do and say Love has changed the way I think, the way I pray Faltering wings were taught a different way to fly By you, who’ve giv’n this soul a better way to die Elizabeth Santos 11/24/03 |
