Is the sky tangible?
Does it realy exist?

You can't touch it, only describe it's mood and colors.
never speaking, it's mere grumbles,
violent roling thunder,
reverberates from earth
in vernicular mumbles...

It does not reflect, beauty set to tease
crying on us, whenever it shall please

Why reach for a star?
Which one shall we choose?
The nearest? The brightest?
Giants of reds, whites, and blues?

Should we travel to one?
Why try?
Before the destination's reached,
we suffer,
we starve,
we die.

Then do we travel beyond their light,
with mournful sighs?
Expanding galaxies of stars, growing distant,
all subject to rise.

Reach for the skies?
of physocality masked
never comprimising
fervant laws of nature
are it's lies.

I ask you this question, my friends;
Why even try?

try because when u wish upon a star it makes no difference who u are. sorry went a little jiminy cricket there. but really, from an optomist's point of view, the stars are so beutiful and majestic the question isn't why try. Rather it's why NOT try.

In some respects, I agree.  Maybe, it's just better to see the beauty that is there -- enjoyed the read.

Is not human nature to covet that which is beyond our reach? In so we have a goal, a meaning to life, that is endless

Lovely poem, I enjoyed reading it!
