This tale I would tell to you of last Thanksgiving day,
you may choose not to take as true, yet, I am here to say,
it happened just this way, my friends, or close enough for me.
That day I learned you cannot trust one single cranberry!

Oh sure, those guys seem likable, at first glance one might think.
They're round and red, and full of zip, but, NEVER make 'em drinks!
I did just once, to my regret, I rue it to this day,
that crazy bunch painted my house to look like "Ocean Spray"!

The mural in my dining room looked big enough to surf,
which might explain that little dude who looked like "Papa Smurf",
who rode his board upon that crested wave, but, then again,
my dining room is not the place for midgets who hang ten!

They didn't stop there, oh no, I swear, they did my kitchen too,.
That drunken bunch of lunatics were far from being through.
They gave me maroon cupboards and red tile floors to match.
I tried my best to stop them, but, they just said, "Down The Hatch"!

They turned my whole house upside down and painted everything,.
They even did the upstairs "John", complete with bath-tub ring!
Oh, how I hate those little guys who got me in this fix,
was either them, or otherwise, the vodka in the mix!

And, so I'm telling you, my friends,on this Thanksgiving Day,
my tale of woe, so you don't go that same route. Sad to say,
the clean-up crew took one whole year to put my house to rights.
I think I'll stick with bottled beer and martinis tonight!

A toast to all of you, my friends, with wishes for good cheer,
and hopes there'll be more tales to tell on Thanksgiving next year.

HeeHee Yepper you have to watch out for them thar crazy cranberries. If you let them sit about and age a day or two. Look Out......
Badness is what they will do.

Bonnie j,
Thanks for the reply. Who knows? Next year I might be telling tales of deranged olives trying to take over! Happy Thanksgiving.
Doc
Nakd,
One would hope you don't seriously think alcohol had anything to do with this! Perhaps my story line was a little mis-leading! Happy Thanksgiving / with apologies to the original Americans .

(giggles) Nope, I've neer had that kind of side-splittin' side effect from cranberries, but from mashed pitatoes with cheddar and ridged potato chips, you betcha! LOL! (big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, I wish you and your whole family a wonderful Thanksgiving, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet William, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Hey Doc,
It's great to see you back here.  We've missed you!   I've got to tell you that I laughed so hard and loud that my son came up from the basement to see what was going on!
Thanks for your humor.  It's much appreciated!

Cranberry Juice + Vodka = Cape Codder (at least by our definition...)

Those pesky things sure do get around, don't they Doc??... Who'd a thunk they'd get so frisky as soon as they esCaped their bogs...

Yo Doc!  There are reasons I prefer gin to vodka... though now I'll have to add the dreaded cranberry to the list.  Yet, I do like the color red.  Hope your turkey day was full of good cheer.  Peace!
