Nothing more than a gasp in the air
Something lived but not quit there
A hearts a heart and no one’s rent
Your life’s a friend that no one’s lent

A mind is gold for little thoughts
Not too much before it’s said
Words a curse for minds amiss
Reflecting back to sliver kiss

Beyond a wish for stories once told
Child’s awe in something yet to unfold
Fear begotten hence hope not forgotten
Memories divided on lament one sided

Breathe ye now forever to regret
Oceans ablaze and heaven sent
Ending to all in forever’s cruel deed
Brilliant minds prove only fleeting

"Fear begotten hence hope not forgotten
Memories divided on lament one sided"

Really makes one think.
