I wonder what tonight might have been
had I not sinned so long ago
in the Garden of my mind where all things grow
gray in shadows of too much thought.
The barbed wire emotions running through me,
bind this wretched heart
with indifference to the end result.

Where is the light on this plain?
Is living all in vain?
Why do we think? Why do we feel?
When do we heal?
I wonder how it might have been tonight without the sin.
Without that sin of thought or feel --
and instead pure devotion as the blood of humaness.

Yet, despite the err of wondering,
they are made still,
brought to their surrender --
my enemies, my mind, my heart --
and filled with grace sufficient,
to rearrange a start,
made warm by loving sacrifice.
With grace, the wondering stops.

With those words telling about your thoughts of life.

See what if you had kicked taht stone in teh grass the other day, what had happened taht day you thought of running up to him and kiss but didnt, what if you let past be past, and enjoy the life in front. smile many thoughts can run through sometimes.

I enjoyed it tells many wondering thoughts.

Smile

I too ask such questions...for the pain endured through disillusionment..is surprisingly still there...typo on enemies

ecrivan -- thanks for pointing out "emenies."  Fixed it.  You really read closely -- thank you.  I was disillusioned then; that was a turning point.

Iliana,
I loved this piece on Grace.  I share your interest in philosophy and theology and have given the concept of grace some thought.  In fewest words possible I think  Grace is grease, or Grace is oil, this in the sense of a lubricant as in the Tin Man in the Wizzard of Oz. The free movement of our body, mind , and spirit can be impeded by our thoughts, especially by the burdensome and encumbering concept of sin.  Grace frees us from this.

I'll share more thoughts if you please.

iliana, without grace we would all be
in serious trouble, don't you think? I
know that I certainly would be!!
