Stirring from my sleep
Into a world of dawning's hues
The morning light casts shadows
Of a mist in violet blues
The delicate palette paints
Upon the canvas of my walls
Then cloaks me in a visionary shawl...

Within the violet dreams
I seem to drift back through the years
To wonder what the world was like
Before mankind appeared
Was earth a private showcase
Painted soft by Nature's hand
As mornings broke across the ancient land?

Morning has appeared
And now the time has come to rise
The colors that await
Are matched by chilling Autumn skies
The pre-dawn world of violet
pushed aside by day's intrusion
still serves me as escape into illusion...

This is just beautiful and that picture is perfect.

I especially liked the ending,
and being drawn to the illusion,
not that I believe in them anymore.

Loved this Sunnyone~

this was like a kid sticking his finger in a jar of honey.  No matter what you pull out, it's sweet.  Beautiful imagery.  I love the dawn, and you gave me an appreciation for it sitting right here.  thank you.

Oh my goodness, Sunny!! This is one of the most beautiful paintings in words that I have ever seen!! So pretty!! Did you paint the picture, too? This is one of my favorite colors, too.....blue being my favorite. I'm keeping this one so that I won't have to shuffle to find it next time I want to read it.
Hugs, sweet lady,

Hi BlueSerenade, and the endings are what counts, eh?  Someone told me once, (another musician), that you can forget the intro, mess up the middle, but whatever you do...make sure the ending is perfect!! And some illusions are really worth believing in, my friend!!!  Thank you for reading...~S~

Hi n2dmysic...(love that name, btw)...and I like the idea of sticking my finger into the jar of honey...there's a poem in that one too!  Thank you for reading...~S~

Hi Ethel, and I am so happy to give you back some of the reading pleasure that you always give to me!!  And thank you for the bump up...didn't hurt a bit!!!  Thank you for reading...~S~

Hi SharaRose, and I love this time of year too, as the pace slows down some, and life takes on colors!  Thank you for reading...~S~

Hi Noah, and don't we all have the heart of a child in us, no matter what? I know I do too, and enjoy nature this time of year, the crackle of the leaves, the colors!  Thank you for reading...~S~

great description of a special moment...
Seriously colorfull and easy to dance to.
I'd give it a ten.

Live like it's your last day...
Dance like nobody's watching...
Love like you've never been hurt...

Sunny, my friend...I SO love the way you write.

This is absolutely GORGEOUS!  I tried to pick
out some favorite lines, but I just love the whole thing.

Hugs to you, sunnylady,

Hi bbent, and so nice to see you here!! So, you think it would be a good song?  I thought maybe I would do a melody to it on my Yamaha...   Always enjoy getting your replies...thank you so much...~S~

Hi Vicky, and you brightened my day here...afraid the sky is more grey than violet this morning, but the sun came out when I read your reply!!!  Thank you, my dear friend...~S~
