It Would Be Different

It would be different she said to me
And then spoke of her soul’s tragedy
Her paths were lost in hopeless mist
And she didn’t get her share of bliss
So I told her to seek for hope’s light
To walk to a future clear and bright
If all you see is dark and drear
Its no wonder your soul knows only fear

It would be different sadly she said
If only I knew love wasn’t dead
She seemed wrapped in such misery
Like a winter’s day lost and lonely
So I said to her open your heart
Ask love in and not to depart
If love lives within you’ll surely see
That you will be warm and so happy

It would be different she cried bitterly
If only I was not treated so cruelly
Her eyes overflowed with such tears
And her soul was beset by nameless fears
Seek faith, I said, it’ll drive out pain
And you’ll be happy once again
If you cede to sorrow you will see
That you can’t witness hope’s victory

It should be different, she said so sadly
It is different I said victoriously

Marsha

Tomorrow is another day I don't know what it holds
but I can face the future with courage brave and bold

I have to agree with this one whole-heartedly. Some people are sunk so low they can't see up, but if they can only see the sky-they've seen heaven.
