feather
fans
across the lids
it just seems
my eyes are closed--
don't you dare assume a thing--
follow me
(the following)
breaks the valley
"oh-what-cheek!"
as the river runs...

"Home."
I swallow with my eyes.
I should keep this sanitized--
(home)
I am
that am
will cease
in the face
of used-to-be,
gathering my skirt to hip--
squatting crepe around my knees--
we laughed about the present tense
and then we hit the road.

Karen, although I am busy with the new pup, I had to pop in to get my "serenity-fix". Awesome and library bound. hugs, Chris
