Cipher

what is this sudden sickening
that grabs the very gut of me
and twists it -
pretzelesque, it seems -
to leave me seeking comforting
in something that I must have lost
but unaware I ever had
where now exists an emptiness
in hungering for sustenance
I pray the gods will quick console
untie the knot, release the hold
decipher meaning - break the code
and set the sorrow free

~vlraynes

you have not truly met the poet.

Vicky...Sorrow hurts and is so much a part of life..It comes from loving, and I guess is necessary, as loving is.

Vicky, I love this description here, though I'm sorry that you felt this way....

I could almost feel that in my stomach.

Hugs to you, lady

i felt that way for a long time...i guess that is why i started writing poetry...I feel your pain deeply, sometimes it helps to cry, sometimes it help to listen to Sinatra...but in the end the thing that helps me is just pouring emotions into words...from your work, you pain comes through so raw its beautifull ... i admire you ability to be soberly vulnerable and honest...
