Candle
in a saucer
a delicate lady
her smile has gone to wax now
darkness

Stretching
to forever
when I reach out my hand
beyond you I touch the world
cannot

One cannot read easily
poetry of Martie...
one must be ready
to sink deep back
into chairs of warm

highlighting thoughts
as they creep through

one must read Martie
ready to accept

difference

and charm.

I'll agree with Sunshine...but I liked it nonetheless

It's in the poetry....it all comes through for those with eyes to see.....and I tell you this, that you can touch beyond, if anyone ever could, as you touch many things that others cannot. The difference for poets like us is that we feel beyond what we can see and know, and what is there gives no quarter, allows no false hope, no condescending smile, no false reverence. The trick, if there is one, is not to mind, and if we can't manage that, not to mind that we mind.

your ending leaves me with so many questions...maybe that was its purpose.
