Cutting out old quilt pieces
Sewing them by hand
Stitching memories together
Preserving time and land~

It's more than a quilt
It's a treasure to behold
Stitched with love and care
Warming us when nights are cold~

The time is soon forgotten
The traditions will not last
The quilts serve as a reminder
From famalies of the past~

Handed down through generations
Creating memories from the start
There is nothing like a quilt
Made with love from the heart~

Welcome to passions!! Your poem is quite nice. I enjoyed reading it and I hope you continue to share your talent with us. Your poem has an interesting idea talking about the quilt in the different ways. It is refreshing to see rhymes, most people at passions seem to have given up this art.

The last quilt I started, I ripped apart again, stitch by stitch... this might inspire me to create again rather than destroy. *S* Welcome to Passions!

Patchquilts are so pretty when they made of love and memories.

Welcome!

I treasure quilts for all the reasons you stated here plus I like the weight of them, too, makes me feel very secure.

And by all means, get comfy, take a look around, respond and post, for you are amongst the land of word people now ... enjoy!
