Moved from a shack to a barn

0 posted 2003-04-29 06:50 AM

The hearth of this household has long since grown cold
And I’ve swept out the ashes of all that once was

And bundled faggots of the nine sacred woods
Awaiting the spark from the bow and the bowl
Building the fire that glitters your eyes

Dancing my circle contrary to yours
Chancing to touch whenever we pass
Daring to catch the scent of your youth
To quicken the Sun to the pull of the Moon

Shall we walk one another to the dark of the bower?
Your hand on my arm, as you’d stroll with a lover

When we’ve filled our May baskets
With our songs of each other, with our hopes for the future
And hang them together
Then, lay down beneath them and startle the heather

Bedewed and washed clean in the waters of May
Bejeweled and beguiled with what we’ve just found
Become wedded in thoth for a year and a day

To quicken the Sun to the pull of the Moon

This shivers...silver and gold.
Thank you, Ed....

I've told you this, and I don't mind saying it again--you have instinctive knowledge of ritual, and you DO know the sacred rites of inner circles...

circles? yes..the widdershins and deosil, and you speak of this without pointing blatantly...Y'know the numbers of the twine, and touch on this without telling.

smile?

Your words carry on the wind dear poet. The tone of my windchimes seem to have changed. Thankyou for this. Chris

wranx.....The whole thing is magic...but this:
"Then, lay down beneath them and startle the heather" just made me see into some charm of place that is in you...and it's very special!
